BENETEAU’s finest one design racer. Over 1000 were sold in over 20 countries. A timeless classic performance craft.
This is a 4 berth saloon yacht, with basic cooking (gas), toilet, and navigation areas with power to instruments and lights.
Vital statistics. 25 foot swing keel drawing a minimum of 0.69 metre dropping to 1.7 metres when fully lowered for windward work.
I accepted this racing yacht in part exchange for my cruiser .Very attractive fixed price for quick sale.
This is a ready to go package. I took delivery and am passing it on exactly as I got it. Here’s what you get in addition to the boat
1) a cradle ,for separate storage,on castors . This is a very solid looking bit of kit.
(2) a heavy duty 4wheeled trailer. Robustly built in steel a good few years ago, but no rust and with the boat being delivered to me on it suggests it has to be considered roadworthy. Spare tyre is new, others in good condition
(3) a nearly new, very little used( 7 hours running only ) Tohatsu 6 hp L/S outboard .
As for the boat itself this is a well known boat on the Clyde, a well sorted yacht with quality fittings, instruments and bags of sails. Very decent Genoa and main as photographed and backed up with 2 other genoas and 4 spinnakers including an ASM . Successful racing record with good surveys throughout its life This yacht is in good condition and was in the water at the end of last season and should pass any inspection .
Latterly it was used for cruising more than racing .now ashore on the Clyde. See fit out for details eg solar panel etc

Hull is fair and appears completely sound , needs cleaning polishing etc Surveyed in 2020 stated ”in conclusion this vessel was considered cosmetically good and a fine example of its class. This vessel has benefitted from continued maintenance, navigational instruments and new mast and rigging.”
In keeping with the overall high standard of equipment all winches, clutches and jammers are a mix of Lewmar and Harken.
Delta anchor with chain and rode, new tiller and spare, with a Spinlock tiller extension. Selden gas kicker.
Raymarine 60 Log. Depth. Wind. Autohelm.
This boat was in full sailing mode at the end of last season so it’s pretty nearly “ ready to go”.
Long shaft Tohatsu outboard which has to be considered nearly new. This engine has only logged 7 hours total running and requires to be serviced by a Tohatsu agent by 16 hours in order to maintain warranty conditions. Cost today nearly £1500!
All serviceable. Mainsail is past its best for competitive racing ,now a cruising or training sail only. If serious competitions are envisaged a new main would be advisable.
Around 5 years ago all standing rigging was replaced and the new equipment level employed was Dyneema for the halliards and Marlow ropes for everything else.
A year later all standing rigging was replaced by 5 mm s/s wire with staylock fittings and new stainless steel
turnbuckles.
At the same time a new mast was purchased from Z spars with a new forestay from Tuff luff completing a very substantial upgrade.
No comment since I have no knowledge in this regard.
