Description

Elsie May is a 57ft semi trad narrowboat, built by Bluewater Boats in 2011 as a bespoke narrowboat and is in outstanding condition throughout.

The layout from bow to stern: Bedroom, Bathroom, Saloon, Dinette and Galley at the stern.

Elsie May is spray foamed and lined with a solid oak T & G ceiling, painted cabin sides and oak veneered plywood under gunnel. Oak trim is fitted

Elsie May is fitted with a Vetus 42hp engine, 75kg electric bow thruster, Victron 2000W inverter/charger, 4 x 140amp domestic batteries, Webasto diesel heater, pump out toilet, double glazing throughout and Karndean flooring throughout.


Bedroom

Fitted with a double bed with a pull out extension, brand new mattress and extension mattress, drawer at the foot of the bed, oak overhead cupboard with reading lights. oak chest of drawers, oak triple wardrobe, a storage step to the bow deck, 2 No 18” portholes with curtains and porthole bungs and sapele stable doors opening out on the bow deck seating area. A mild steel waste tank is fitted under the double bed. 1 No anthracite double radiator.

Bathroom

Fitted with a 760mm square shower with pivot door, shelving unit behind the shower, a pump out toilet, a chrome towel rail and a semi recessed basin with vanity unit with a tiled splashback. There is a mirrored storage cabinet above the basin. 1 No 18” porthole with frosted glass.

Saloon

Two brown leather captains chairs and footstools take pride of place in the saloon, facing an oak TV storage unit with doors. 2 No 30” x 21 windows with curtains and rails top and bottom. 1 No anthracite double radiator behind captain chairs.

Dinette

L shaped dinette with cushions and table to make a double bed for guests. 1 No 30” x 21” window with curtains and rails top and bottom. One pair of side doors with internal glazed oak doors, table storage under gunnel and 1 No anthracite double radiator.

Galley

Oak storage units and drawers with two curved units either side. Stainless steel sink with drainer, Spinflo gas oven and grill with four burner gas hob. Iroko curved worktops with tiled splashbacks, 240V fridge with icebox, electrical cupboard housing a Victron 2000W inverter/charger, consumer units and 12V switch panels. Wet locker at the stern with hanging rail, 3 storage steps up to the stern deck area. 2 No 30” x 21” windows with venetian blinds. Steel stern doors with sliding hatch.

Stern Deck

Semi trad stern with portside seat locker and helm console, full access to engine room with 18mm deck boards, steel doors to enclose semi trad area and 16 amp shoreline socket. Green fitted cover to semi trad area.




Bow Deck

Seat lockers both sides and across the front with green cushions. Gas locker for 2 x 13kg gas bottles. Bow thruster tube with weed hatch. Green cover fitted over bow deck.

Hull

Built by Bluewater Boats in 2011 as a bespoke narrowboat. Shot blasted and painted in a two pack paint system on the superstructure and a two pack epoxy blacking under waterline. Elsie May returned to us in 2017 for a complete re-paint and blacking.

Engineering

Vetus 42hp engine with MP34 deluxe panel and 2 x header tanks, twin alternators, 75 kgf electric bow thruster, 35mm water lubricated stern tube, 4 bladed propeller, bilge pump in stern tube area. 55 litre twin coil calorifier in engine room. Webasto diesel heating. 4 No 130 amp AGM domestic batteries fitted in April 2021.

Elsie May has been extremely well cared for since new by the owners and is only available for sale as they are having a new bespoke narrowboat built currently.
