Opal is a Dutch Barge to the Branson Katherine design built by South Holland Fabrications in 2003. She has recently undergone a full hull repaint in epoxy in October 24 with topsides repainted in Spring 25. Her fuel tanks have been recently emptied and cleaned and new fuel added. She has new covers to dog house and wheelhouse and a host of other updates an improvements including a boiler burner rebuild also in 25, rudder re-hung, steering ram rebuilt, etc.
Little used over the last 4 years and lying in Bristol floating harbour with potential for mooring subject to harbour master consent, or easy lift out at yard.
She has a 106hp Vetus main engine, Vetus hydraulic steering, Vetus generator, Bubblejet boiler and 12v, 24, and 240v systems. She has 400w of solar panels, and all batteries replaced in last 4 years.
