Built in 1914, the Bawley MARY AMELIA, a famed Leigh Cockler. She was commercially fished, under sail until the late 1920s. Then converted to a motor fishing vessel, and continued working until the 1950's. Late 1970's she ended up sunk nr Pin Mill, Suffolk. Fairwind is a Harrison Butler Bogle class built in Barton on Humber in 1935. The design was drawn up in 1933 by Dr Harrison Butler for the Little Ship Club. Fairwind is one of 6 boats built to this design and has sailed to Russia and the Baltic, the Friesian Islands, and the South and East coasts of the UK.
