She is lying in a private berth is Rosas on the french/Spanish border paid up till end of December .
I am running this advert on behalf of the current owner who is not well at this time and as i previously owned the boat and have been aboard this month can speak on its behalf.
With only 4 previous ownerships since i sold it to the current one 31 years ago and since completing its twelfth transatlantic plus much med sailing the owner has undertaken an extensive restoration of the boat to insure its life will continue for many years to come.This includes a re-plating to 200mm above waterline of the hull following the 2022 survey recommendation .Douglas fir main mast , boom and gaff replaced along with rigging last ten years. Oak rudder fitted circa 2000.Full dacron Sail inventory, lines , blocks (many varnished and ready to go on when running rigging re fitted).
The sailing attributes and comfort at sea of such a design are well known and its interior layout and voluminous space are more than a comparable to any modern yacht.
There is an extensive inventory too much to list and all packed/itemised and dry stored ashore.
This month a new mizzen boom is finishing completion with ironwork, the Ford bowman 80hp had been removed , fully reconditioned including new rings, re painted and reinstated and will be running this month.. The WC needs refitting along with the cooker (to be purchased ).
Covid interrupted the program which was followed by an illness that now leads to finding a new owner.
It is possible that a very favourable arrangement can be negotiated if the boat can be used for 'good works' as the owners wishes are it goes to a good home.
The boat will require an experienced buyer to rig the sails , run the labeled running rigging, check all gear is functioning etc.
A 2022 survey is available of which recommendations have been completed.
