Elysium was professionally built in Whitby at William Clarkson’s to a very high standard, first registered in 1975 completed and launched in Whitby in 1981, owned by my wife and I for the past 20 years, during which time we have had many holidays and adventures with our 3 children (all grown up now), her 1500 BMC 35 hp engine pushes her along at the hull design speed of 6.5 knots and has been completely rebuilt then refitted in Jan 2019 (105 engine hours since), Elysium has a long keel with bilge keels, she has 5 berths in 3 cabins, deceptively spacious for her size, wide side decks and a deep safe cockpit, her wheelhouse opens up via two teak bi-folding doors to the cockpit giving a large open space to enjoy with family and friends, electric sea toilet and shower, diesel heating new 2025, hot water calorifier, gas hob and cooker, long range 340ltr fuel tank, fuel consumption at 1900rpm 2.7ltrs an hour, 340ltr water tank, electric anchor windlass (recently serviced) CQR anchor and 50m of chain, 2 suits of sails and a cruising chute, new Jekels lazy jacks and stackers 2022, stainless steel davits, 3x 110ah service batteries 1x 110ah crancking battery charged via a 40amp split charger, 1x Raymarine & 1x Advansea chart plotters, Raytheon depth sounder, Furuno radar, Benmar chain driven course setter auto pilot with cockpit remote, Navman DSC VHF, Icom handheld radio, BT stereo, 400w amp, 2x Rockford fosgate speakers indoors & 2x Clarion waterproof speakers in the cockpit, tons of storage throughout the boat. It’s now time to move on and let someone else enjoy her and have there own adventures.

Five berths in three cabins, V berth forward, double in saloon & single pull out berth in the wheelhouse, seating for five in the saloon, cocktail cabinet and shelving to port of the saloon, galley with two burner hob and oven, sink and drainer, microwave oven, Sony flat screen TV, plenty of storage throughout, heads and shower to port forward of the saloon with Jabsco electric sea toilet, closet to starboard, further storage under the bunks forward with steps leading up to a hatch forward of the mast.
In the wheelhouse there is storage for spares and tools under the seating to port with two hatches outboard of that above the fuel tank for more bits and pieces, to starboard there is another large locker above the water tank for sails, a BBQ, and currently also use as the “cellar” feeding the Angram beer engine above (which is neither screwed bolted or glued therefore easily removed), the Lagoon adjustable table can be used both in the wheelhouse and the cockpit, helmsman seat and navigator/watch person seat to starboard.
Grp Ardleigh Plastics hull and superstructure, build completed by Clarkson’s of Whitby, six stringers each side from keel to to gunwales, where longitudinal stringers where omitted hull increased by 25%, 3” side engine beds, two ton cast steel encapsulated keel, solid teak rubbing strakes, gunwales, cappings, bi-folding doors, louvered doors, handrail, teak faced 1/2” marine ply cupboard doors, teak faced ply lined wheelhouse and Canadian red pine bulkheads.
She come with all the original plans and stacks of receipts gathered by her previous owners.
2x Lewmar 25 two speed Genoa winches, Seldon main mast with 2 Lemar 7 single speed winches, Colnebrook furling winch leading forward to Colnebrook roller reefing, 35lb CQR anchor with 50m of chain, Simpson Laurence anchor windlass with handheld remote, M.O.B system pole and hook winched via mizen boom and Genoa winch, whale gusher manual bilge pump, cockpit remote steering.

Thornycroft 1500 BMC Captain 35hp, professionally re-built and re-fitted 2019 with the following new parts; pistons rings & con rods, valves, timing gear, electric fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump, fuel injectors, Bowman heat exchanger, spray head, exhaust pot/muffler, siphon break and cranking battery.
Newage Coventry PRM 2:1gearbox, R&D coupling powering a stainless steel shaft leading to a 17” diameter by 10” Pitch manganese bronze three blade propeller.
Roller reefed Genoa, three slab reefed main with Jeckells lazy jacks and stacker pack (2022), mizzen sail with Jeckells lazy jacks and stack pack (2022) plus spare very good condition spare set of sails and cruising chute with snuffer, Seldon main mast, gold anodised mizzen mast, tall tabernacle to match wheelhouse roof, A-frame for lowering and varnished hardwood mast holders fitting to the wheelhouse aft and tabernacle for French canals or inland waterways.
Coastal flare pack, Danbuoy with light, horseshoe & floating line, MOB system; man overboard alert buttons on both plotters and Navman radio, a sling with line attaches to the pulley on the mizzen boom via a quick release carabiner type hook to allow a casualty to be hoisted aboard, three plus three rung folding boarding ladder over the transom, Jack stays on both port and starboard run from cockpit to bow, three powder fire extinguishers & fire blanket, carbon monoxide alarm in saloon, escape hatch in forward cabin, manual gusher bilge pump in cockpit, auto bilge pump.
