1980 Colvic Countess 28 bilge keel yacht in very good condition. Only selling as I have purchased a larger yacht.
Builder: Colvic Craft Ltd. (UK)
Designer: Ian Anderson
The interior is in excellent condition with a large v berth with infill that is particularly long so will comfortably sleep anyone well in excess of 6ft. Good sized hatch, insulated roof and lined with carpet there is storage shelving, cupboards and LED reading lights. Under the berth is the anchor chain locker and 2 very large storage areas.
Next aft on the starboard side is a large hanging locker. Opposite is a roomy heads with LED light, Jabsco toilet, storage, port hole and a slide out sink with fresh water tap.
The main saloon has a raised table and bench seats with 12V, USB and 240V outlets nearby. There is a 60L flexible water tank under the floor beneath your feet. The table drops easily to make a double berth and there are massive storage bays under each bench seat, the aft one containing the fresh water pump and a fold out rubbish bin.
On the starboard side is a long seat with a lee cloth which can be used as a single berth, although narrow. Underneath and above there is plenty of storage.
The galley has a gimballed 2 hob gas cooker with grill and oven. This is only a few years old and hardly used. Two gas bottles are stored in the cockpit behind the tiller post.
Galley has an ice box (not a fridge), single sink, fresh water tap and ample storage.
To starboard is a wide and deep single berth sufficient to sleep in + store items aft of your feet it is so deep. Under the berth is the battery bay with x2 110ah AGMs, 240V charger and the battery and power isolator master switch.
Above the berth is another storage area as well as the instrument panel, USB charging ports, stereo and diesel heater control panel.
Meticulously maintained Bukh DV20 which starts first time every time and runs perfectly with no oil or water leaks or weeps.
3 large deep cockpit lockers, the forward port side allowing access to the rear of the engine, gearbox and drivetrain and the 60L plastic fuel tank.
The diesel heater was professionally fitted above the starboard locker with its own diesel tank.
Gas bottles are strapped under the rudder stock out of the way and access to the cockpit is by fold down swim ladder to aft.
There is a small (30L) waterproof storage cupboard in the aft starboard corner of the cockpit.
Fenders, lines and various stuff included along with some spare filters and parts.
