“SO IT GOES” – 50ft x 10ft Widebeam by Dave Clarke (2010) – Off-Grid, Unique and Characterful, and Ready to Cruise
So It Goes is a beautifully built 50ft x 10ft Widebeam canal boat, crafted by the renowned Dave Clarke in 2010. Designed for full-time live-aboard life and serious off-grid cruising, she blends traditional charm with high-tech modern systems — including 600W of solar, 300Ah lithium LiPoHo4 batteries, Victron inverter and electrical system, Webasto central heating, and Bow Thrusters for effortless manoeuvring.
With its distinctive large porthole windows throughout, “So It Goes” has a unique aesthetic and a cozy interior with a sense of space and light rarely found in boats of this size. Being 50ft it is easy for newer boaters to get used to and find moorings in busy areas especially utilising the bow thrusters but with the high ceilings and generous space of a Widebeam.
She also sports an eye catching, one of a kind sprung chimney allowing a higher draft wood burner for more efficiency but able to fold down when going under bridges and spring back up once through.
