Voted European Boat of year in 2006, the Hanse 400 counts as a true performance boat but still has all the attributes of a comfortable, modern family cruiser. This example due to a change in the owners circumstances needs to come out of the water and be given a good clean so you can appreciate what a good yacht this is .A spacious interior with good standing head room, a 2 cabin layout, Yanmar 40hp diesel engine with bow thruster ,Self tacking jib ,Slackpack mainsail ,which again will need valeting .This is an opportunity to purchase a go anywhere family cruiser. at a good price.




Accommodation :

This 2 cabin version of the Hanse 400 has a large V Double berth in the forward cabin, with hanging lockers to port and starboard .It has a very airy spacious feel to it. The interior is finished in polished cherry wood and dark blue upholstery .


Going aft into the saloon you have on the port side two individual seats either side of a small polished table .To Starboard there is a large dining table with wrap around seating There is ample locker space all finished in a polished cherry wood and dark blue upholstery.


Going further aft to port you have a large heads with marine toilet and wash basin with hot and cold pressurised water. It has a separate shower compartment. Hot water is heated by the engine and a 240V immersion heater.


To starboard you have a L shaped galley with 2 burner hob, oven, fridge, 2 stainless steel sinks, and ample cupboard space to store food and pots and pans. There are two 12v fridges


To Port there is the Aft cabin consisting of a large double berth which goes under the cockpit ,with a wardrobe and cupboards .


To Starboard behind the galley there is a small door which conceals a large storage locker for sails, warps fenders ,spares and tools.


The cockpit is very spacious and has ample storage lockers, It has teak on the cockpit floor and seats.

Sails and Spars:
This Hanse 400 has a Bermudan sloop 9/10 fractional rig, with 2 spreaders, anodised aluminium mast and boom. Furling system for self-tacking jib and genoa. fully battened mainsail has the Hanse single line reefing system (cockpit handling), Rod kicker Stainless steel standing rigging. Backstay adjuster. Main and jib halyard lead aft to cockpit. Main sheet traveller on coach roof. Mainsail fully battened with 3 reefs with Stack pack and Lazy Jacks system. Self-tacking jib with traveller.


Winches:

Mechanical Systems:


Yanmar 3JH4 40 HP diesel engine with a sail drive to a fixed 3 blade propeller. The engine will require a service and the age of the saildrive gaiter is unknown. It has a 140L stainless steel fuel tank. It has a cruising speed of 7 knots and a max sped of approximately 9 Knots


Electrical Systems:


4 x 12v batteries,1 x engine battery 1 x domestic,1 x bowthruster, and 1 x electric windlass All batteries are charged from engine alternator and 240v battery charger. This yacht has a 240V shore power connection with ring main, immersion heater and battery charger.
