Spero is now for sale at a fixed price.
This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i combines a lifting keel which allows for exploring shallow draft areas with good sailing performance and exceptional accommodation down below. The boat has been well looked after and it benefits from a number of recent upgrades.
Spero is a category B vessel and has safely allowed the current owner to explore the west coast of Scotland, including trips around Skye and the inner Hebrides, as well as a return passage across the top of Scotland back to Edinburgh. Well integrated dinghy storage allowed for easy dinghy deployment. A new Garmin 95sv Echomap Chart Plotter fitted in 2024 including an AIS transceiver allows for excellent navigation as well as tracking by friends and family ashore.
A folding propeller and new mainsail added in 2024 make for excellent sailing performance. All controlling sheets are led aft, including two permanent reefing lines which. This makes for easy single handed sailing even in rough weather. The well maintained sprayhood offers good protection from sun and spray.
Down below Spero benefits from spacious and light accommodation easily sleeping six people. The boat has been exceptionally well maintained with useful storage solutions added by the current owner. This includes bespoke pockets in the companionway and the galley. Table and companionway woodwork has been brought back to a high level of finish this winter.
A safe L-shaped galley with ample storage, deep fridge with freezing compartment and upgraded eno cooker support comfortable passage making. The starboard settee berth is fitted with a lee cloth.
All original documents and proof of sale accompany the purchase.
Spero is being sold as it is time to downsize. After a season of sailing solo due to my wife deciding to give up sailing, the time is right to move on to a smaller boat.
