2002 cruiser racer. Sun Fasts and Sun Odysseys are the same hull and interior but the Sun fast was sold with a taller rig, deeper draft (2m07) lead keel, deeper rudder and a keel stepped mast. This one may be unique in that it was converted to deck stepped (like the Sun Odyssey) .The video will show how well this boat sails. I sailed hundreds of miles in her July 2024 as far as South Uist. (Outer Hebrides)
She has laminate Goacher sails, (the headsail has had a new UV strip since returning), a new Raymarine Evolution 200 autopilot linear drive with extended warranty. (Cost 3000+) A 200w solar panel looks after the power needs of the autopilot. Two new domestic batteries 2024 and bought a new engine battery this year. The hull was copper coated last year. The engine is a Yanmar 3GM30F driving a Gori folding propellor. Nice white vinyl faux leather seating and berths which is more recent. 3 sleeping cabins and convertable dining table for further double but the forward cabin is minus a mattress. Asking price range for Sun Fast/Odyssey's of this age is 48.5 to 62k. This I've gathered from seeing many advertised over the last 3 years, I can sell mine at a good discount to this, see my price. I replaced the Volvo dripless shaft seal and fitted a new Vetus exhaust hose in 2024. She sails well and points well to windward, I'm a cruiser but appreciate her ability. I had best speed of 9kn at one stage. I'm North Wales based. The boat has no mooring but several options in this area. She's now stored ashore. She comes with orange storm sails which look never used but no spinnaker although the halyards are there. Some tools and spares and oil and filter changed March 2025 also rear oil seal on the gearbox changed. 6 spare Racor primary fuel filters. The ac electrics haven't been used and would need a check. Hot water from the engine after a run but immersion not currently connected nor is the fridge. She's comfortable and a pleasure to spend time on. She has an Autohelm Tridata ST60 Depth/Speed, Icom vhf, not DSC, Sony stereo, an old Raymarine plotter minus an antenna. (I do my navigating on my tablet). Galley has all the pans, crockery and cutlery items. New 10mm anchor chain 40m bought last year with 16kg Delta anchor re galvanized. A new gearbox bought for the Quick electric anchor windlass and fitted March 2025. I've fitted a remote control for the windlass. Lots of time and money spent but bear in mind spending an on going thing with any boat. May consider delivery.
