Tibet is a beautiful handcrafted true Josher style traditional by Sheffield's finest with the possibility of a mooring on the river Lee. She was built in 2011 (10:6:5:4), acid etched then had 2 pack epoxy applied throughout (inside and out). She was professionally fitted out and painted then launched in 2012. She was last taken out for blacking in October 2016 (before and after pictures below).
Lovely lines, a fully planked and welded extended true Josher bow with a 6ft front welldeck - a great space for sitting out. There are raised and scrolled cants to fore and stern decks and hand rails, four recessed panels to rear, the sign is hand written by Dean Box. The hull shape is a Birmingham square hull with vertical lower sides which makes it feel really spacious inside.
There are 15" solid brass opening portholes, windows onto the foredeck, a houdini hatch in the living area and paneled side hatches in the bedroom and galley. She's sprayfoam insulated.
Inside there is painted redwood T&G on the upper walls and ceiling, oak doors, panels and worktops and oak floors throughout, with the exception of the tiled bathroom. In the living area there's a corner sofa and removable table which also converts to double bed. The full size kitchen has a Belling oven, Siemens cast iron hob, shoreline 12v fridge/freezer and plenty of storage space. Fixed double bed with large drawers under, 4ft full height wardrobe with hanging space and shelves as well as a new washing machine and 75ltr calorifier. The tiled bathroom has a Thetford C200 toilet, shower and storage units above and below the sink.
The sprayfoamed insulated stainless steel water tank is under the front deck which also contains lots of storage space. In terms of heating and power there's a Morso Squirrel stove, Alde gas central heating and hot water plus hot water via the engine. A new Sterling 2500 kw inverter/charger, galvanic isolator, 16amp shoreline, 12v led lighting, 12v and 240v sockets, and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. The engine is a Vetus 42hp (regularly serviced), twin alternators, 3 domestic and 1 starter battery, Blue Sea isolators, bilge blower, sound proofed.
This is simply a lovely uncomplicated boat, much loved and professionally cared for. At home on the towpath or on a mooring, a joy to cruise and always admired.
