Accommodation: A very rare opportunity to buy a beautiful and spacious Dutch steel cruiser made by Kempers (Netherlands). Miss Ellie is in very good condition and was extensively renovated in 2017. Access onto Miss Ellie is from either side or via the stern. This is straight into the lovely aft cockpit which has full width seating. Miss Ellie also benefits from wide side decks and high side rails making her feel very secure to move around. Moving Fwd through the folding doors into the very light and airy wheelhouse/saloon. The helm is amidship, port side. She benefits from new Raymarine Dragonfly 7 plotter/GPS. And the chart table is located behind the helm. Opposite is the seating area which converts to a double berth with stowage beneath and a cupboard next to it. You then step down into the nicely appointed galley which is Stb side. It is equipped with a 4 ring, LPG hob, Electrolux Gas/Electric 240v fridge, sink with hot and cold water and ample storage and work surface. Opposite is the shower/toilet compartment. This is fitted with a Jabsco manual sea toilet, hand basin with hot and cold water, shower, storage and surface space. Fwd is the master cabin. This is a large 'V' berth which converts to a double bed. There are two wardrobes and two low level lockers, reading lights and the deck hatch.
Owners Comments: The hull from the waterline down was grit blasted back to bare metal and a 2-pack epoxy tar was applied together with the fitting of new anodes. An inspection after grit basting revealed the hull plating to be in excellent condition. The bronze propeller was refurbished and balanced by Crowther Marine and the stern gland repacked. All the cabin sides, super structure and hull were completely repainted, and sign written. The vendor undertook a survey on her before she was purchased in 2017 and all the work that was recommended by the surveyor has been completed. The displacement hull combined with hydraulic steering, front bow thruster and a powerful Volvo Penta MD32A engine result in a boat which handles beautifully and is very easy to control. She is very comfortable on rivers and is also seaworthy. She is very spacious inside with plenty of storage cupboards and lockers and can sleep 4 people. Would make an ideal live aboard boat. She has been owned by the vendor since 2017 and has been moored on our privately at their riverside home during all of this time. This has meant the vendor has been able to look after and maintain her on a regular basis. The engine, gearbox and hydraulics have been regularly serviced and we have regularly enjoyed local trips on the river and the occasional holiday further down the River Trent. The rear canopy was replaced with a new acrylic canvas canopy in September 2019.
