50ft Narrow Boat Little Progress.
Price just reduced to ridiculous price as SHE MUST GO now as I am leaving the country at the end of the month. Viewings on weekend.
Completely refurbished 5years ago' when I bought it, LP has a fantastic layout with plenty of space and natural light thanks to her large windows on both sides.
By the entrance a Squirrell which will require a new back plate. The back boiler heats a gravity fed heating system which runs alongside the whole length of the boat ending to the radiator in the bedroom.
Gas cooker with oven and gas boiler for hot water.
As you enter you have a spacious lounge area with 3seater sofa and on the opposite side bookshelves and a small bracket fixed to the wall for a tablet that I have used as a small TV appliance. Then, moving to the kitchen area you will find a 12V fridge/ freezer and a large sink with drainboard in stainless steal and kitchen storage underneath.
The corner splashback is all made of Mexican handmade tiles which give a vibrant splash of colour to thee whole area.
Through the corridor, which has a long bookcase on the right hand side, the bathroom with a fully tiled shower and a pretty golden glass sink which rests on a chunky wooden vanity unit. Then, a solid wooden composting toilet handmade to maximise the available space.
The sink and brass taps makes a strong colour contrast with the surrounding sticky tiles in a gold, blue and white Turkish style.
Finally, at the end of the corridor and on a straight line from the stove for maximum heat, the bedroom with a solid handmade frame for a full size double bed.
The mattress is a thick orthopaedic one and was only bought 2 years ago'.
On the back wall of the bedroom sits the electric panel and a small invertor which has been more than enough for my limited usage. 12 and 240V sockets in the lounge, kitchen and bedroom.
Front and back covers and solar panel on the roof.
There are some patches of ceiling that I have never got around fixing even if I have all the material already on board as I got comfortable and kept on procrastinating it but, someone with fresh enthusiasm may be able to do the job quite swiftly as soon as they move in. (Please see pictures)
The boat was last blackened last year and new anodes were added.
The engine, a Lister SR3 is a beauty. I do change the oil regularly every summer and it never gave me a problem.
Good recent survey and BSS just about to be renewed in November. The boat was over-plated before I bought in and relevant information can be found in the survey.
This has been my home sweet home for the past 5 years and I am only selling as I am moving out of the country imminently; For this reason near offers to the asking price will be considered.
