'HOBO' has been our Spring & Autumn live aboard home for the last 10 years, cruising The Adriatic, Ionion and Aegean seas, from Zadar to Istanbul.
Being very satisfied with her build quality and performance under both sail and power, our buying decision was decided by the superb centre line double berth aft cabin, 'probably the best available on a 42 footer.'
The shoal keel and bow thruster encourage exploring small anchorages and harbours. She is comfortably managed by a couple, with room for additional crew/family as needed. We never regretted the choice of this design.
Now, changes in family situation mean it is time to offer her for sale; the keen asking price is no reflection of condition - just the need to move on.
The sailing photos were taken on approach to Cephalonia - since then much has changed, not least replacing both main and genoa, and exchanging the CQR for a Rocna.
Note the teak rubbing strake, unusual on the 425 in our experience.

GRP used throuhout construction of hull and decks;stiffening is achieved using balsa or foam stiffeners moulded to inside of hull and fitting of bulkheads. Each bulhead is bonded in position using GRP and then further secured with bolts through the GRP bonding. An inner GRP floor also adds to the strength and stability of the hull.Extra strengthening is applied to the keel attachment area in order to withstand the loads imposed on the keel.
The effective Moody moulded in non slip deck surface is in excellent condition.
The aft cabin may be accessed from the galley via the aft heads (port side), and from the main saloon via the aft passageway (starboard side) which has twin fore and aft single bunks. These can be closed off to form a separate cabin, although for practical purposes they are usually used for storage. The en-suite toilet and shower area complete the Owner's cabin.
Galley to port, aft of the main saloon is practically sited adjacent to the main companionway. It comprises hot and cold water with refrigerator and coolbox, two burner stove with oven and grill and storage cupboards and shelves.
Navigation area to starboard with full size chart table.
Main saloon has seating for 8 with various cupboards and shelving. Forward portside is hanging locker and starboard is the fwd heads/toilet/shower. Fore cabin comprises two single berths with infill to convert to a double. This area can be closed off for privacy.
