Description

Georgina is a lovely reliable boat and a good size. Not too big and not too small. I have had the boat for nearly 10 years and have enjoyed the 40 mile Lancaster canal. I have been covered by RCR (River canal rescue) for the whole time and never had to use them. I put this down to regular servicing and care. For peace of mind the hull was tested last summer on 15/7/2022 by an independent hull surveyor ,which was certificated . The hull measured 5.7 mm to 5.9 mm thick, which means it's in fantastic condition as it was 6mm when built. It was jet washed by the Bridge house marina crew as it was part and parcel of them taking it out onto dry dock. It had a new 10mm rub bar welded all around the bottom/side of the hull. The whole hull was given 4 coats of marine bitumen.
The engine is a commercial Kubota, 4 cylinder, 40hp with beta marina fit.
The safety certificate was done this year 16/3/23, so will not need doing again until 16/3/27. All certificates can be viewed and will be forwarded with the boat.
Engine room has been cleaned and painted every year . It also has a bilge pump that operates from the control panel.
I serviced the Weed hatch this summer ie replaced new rubbers. Also repacked the stern gland at the same time. It also has a back Stern
cover , both sides opening with two way zips , handy for fishing watching The wild Life etc but most importantly keeping the engine room dry.
Inside the boat consist of a double bed with brand new memory foam mattress and under bed storage .
Bathroom has pump- out toilet, sink and walk-in shower.
Kitchen has a Paloma water heater, gas cooker which comprises of stove , grill and oven. ( There is calorifier fitted in the engine room out the way that gives you free hot water once the engine has warmed up to temperature )
Living area has a double sofa bed, built in stereo which has a great sound. 12V combination tv and DVD player and wood burner stove.
There are cassette blinds+fly screens and 240 hook-up throughout.
There is also a side hatch which provides great views for guests when sailing or to let a little more cool air in during the hot summer months. Recently bought a alpicool 50L Bluetooth fridge freezer one of the most economical and best units on the market and has 12 months warranty ( please check YouTube for the spec and how good this unit is ) whilst this boat was up for sale I purchased 3 x 12v 130AH brand new with receipts and 4years warranty leisure batteries .
