This has been my houseboat for more than 5 years. It has been a cosy home to me, and my cat, and I have lived in the midst of a wonderful water community. My circumstances have changed and alas I must now sell my life on the water. I have recently been restoring Lochinvar, with new flooring and painting the interior but it will need to be finished by someone who may share the passion for water life.
This is a project to be completed and the new owner could easily live on the boat while completing the work. It will need blackening this year, at the same time, you could have the survey completed for insurances purposes. Once a new cooker is installed and verified by a gas safe engineer, you will need to have a safety inspection carried out. I will supply relevant details as required. The shower room/toilet will need updating. This boat is 50 years old and hence need some real TLC.
Although it is a cosy boat, I have catered for 4 people and I have enjoyed cruising along the Avon and Kennet river with my friends and family. I am certain the new owner will love this boat and all it offers.
Lochinvar is 38 foot by 6 foot semi-traditional stern cruiser. It has a steel hull and fiberglass roof. inside it is 5' 8'' high, so would suit someone no taller than that.

You enter the boat through the stern/rear end of the boat into the living area that includes the galley. There is a small fridge freezer and cupboards for storing food. Currently water is drawn from the water tank via a manual brass hand pump. The electric pump and emersion heater are disconnected due to leaking. I have a new pump ready to fit should the buyer wish to use the electric pump. The old cooker was removed, it was old and falling apart. The shower room will need to be renewed. I never used, my cat did however.
The bedroom has a small double bed and storage underneath. The bow can be accessed through the bedroom. The gas cylinder were kept here, as is the access to the water tank. There is a small storage space on the bow.
The wooden deck on the stern gives access to the engine.
