Lazy days is a 57 foot narrowboat made by Narrowboats of Staffordshire with a 38 horsepower Canaline engine and PRM120 gearbox. Built in 2014, and fitted with Webasto central heating system and a Refleks diesel burner, she makes a very comfortable and practical live aboard.
You enter the boat via a large cruiser stern fitted with a new pram cover, installed in December 2022. The boat is reverse layout, with the back doors opening into a galley kitchen. New worktops have been fitted recently, and there is a gas hob, cooker and 12v Lec fridge. The galley has substantial cupboard storage and lino flooring. Continuing through the boat, there is a good size saloon area, with diesel stove and dinette that converts into a bed and offers storage. There is also a new built in bookshelf and laminate wood flooring which continues throughout the boat.
The bathroom is generous, with a full size shower cubicle, washstand and Thetford PortaPotti toilet. Wiring and plumbing is also in place to install a cassette toilet if needed. There is also shelf and cupboard storage.
The bedrooms are located in the bow of the boat and have separating doors which creates privacy. The second bedroom is currently being used as a nursery, but would work well as an office space, or would take a standard double bed. The master bedroom is built into the bow to maximise space, and has a fitted wardrobe with hanging and drawer space.
Lazy days would work well as a live aboard or leisure boat for a large group or family. There is the potential to sleep 6 people aboard and the living space is really generous. Hot water is supplied by a calorifier. The hot water is heated by a 1kW immersion heater, the engine and the Webasto. She has two 355 watts solar panels connected to a Victron MPPT solar charger which charge four 100ah lithium batteries. There is also an 1800w Sterling quasi sine wave inverter and a Victron IP22 smart charger for charging the leisure batteries when on shoreline.
The boat was surveyed (which can be shared with any prospective buyers) in August 2022. It was reported that the hull was in very good condition. At the time, it was given a fresh coat of 2-pack epoxy, two new anodes were fitted in the midship and a new propellor.
A new safety certificate will be completed in April 2023 by the current owners and all documentation for the boat is available to see during any viewing.
