Location: Falmouth, Cornwall Survey; Last completed in 2023 Description: The Nicholson 32 was designed in 1962 by Peter and Charles Nicholson of Camper & Nicholsons, then one of Britain's most prestigious custom boatbuilders, as a good value mid-sized cruising boat. Keffen is a much loved family boat, sailing around the cornish coastline and having spent 3 weeks Last summer living on board with a family of 4 on the Isles of Scilly. Keffen sails beautifully and during our ownership we have found her a safe, seaworthy and comfortable sailing vessel. During our ownership we have completed many improvements and updates. Engine: Keffen has a Nanni 3.75 HE engine, she has good access for maintenance. The engine has less than 400 hours on her, this will increase as she is still being regularly used and enjoyed. The engine was remounted, had new stern gear & a new 3 bladed fixed propeller fitted in 2022. Two new water pumps, 2024 Keffen has 65 L of fuel capacity in her stainless steel tank. A new hot/ cold pressurised water system was fitted throughout the vessel in 2022, providing the added luxury of a shower both in the heads as in the cockpit. She has new fire extinguishers Electrical: Keffen had a new 12 v fridge installed in 2022. New autohelm and new autohelm socket, 2022. Keffen has a windlass, with new solenoids and sockets fitted 2022, 42 meters of 10mm new galvanized chain. Rig/ Sails/Canvas: Keffen is a bermudan sloop, with new stack pack/ lazy jacks installed 2022. New spray hood and dodgers, 2022. Keffen has a mainsail, with slab reefing, roller furling genoa. Full set of storm sails (main, genoa and jib). Spare emergency forestay. Anchors; 16kg Lewmar delta, 42 meters of 10mm new galvanized chain. 15 kg Danforth ( kept in its own locker on deck). Navigation: compass, VHF, Nasa depth, speed and wind logs. Accommodation: 5 berths, 2 cabins, teak veneer plywood cabin sole, new curtains ( 2022)full size chart table, saloon table, wet locker, hanging lockers, sea toilet, wash basin ( with shower/ pressurised hot/ cold water system). Galley sink, new gas cooker ( 2022), with 2 x hobs, grill and oven. ( New gas system professionally installed, copper piping and flexible hoses installed 2022). Large water tank. Cockpit cushions. Keffen has a set of heavy steel beaching legs. Keffen had new cream grip deck paint in 2022, she is antifouled yearly. We have had many happy sailing holidays, weekends and day trips abroad to Keffen, she is greatly admired and receives regular compliments because of her classic and elegant lines.
