This unique craft has been lovingly designed and built based on my years on the canal. I’m moving to pastures new and need to find a new owner for Pumpkin, who was built by the talented Paul Widdowson 5 years ago. She was fitted out the following year by professional fitters at Semington dock where they magically transformed my crazy ideas into reality!
You enter through the front of the boat into the living area, complete with swing, stove and usual living room stuff.
I have a puppy so his crate uses a fair bit of space at the moment but the dining area is spacious and illuminated by unique and quirky colander lights, all 12v. Wools are lined with ply and reclaimed pallet wood with 12v and 240 sockets throughout. Kitchen has ample storage with larder, 12v fridge freezer, gas cooker and dishwasher. Benefits from large larder and other shelving.
All windows and skylights are double glazed.
Move into the bedroom where you have storage for clothes, raised bed with storage under, washing machine, toilet and shower with steps to rear deck.
I always wanted that industrial pallet wood look with quirky fittings and as you can see from the pictures, that’s exactly what I got. From my years on the canal I’ve learnt that it doesn’t pay to scrimp on the electrical elements and as such as Victron invertor, charger and battery monitor. The solar panels (300 eachx2) produces good level of power and even in the winter she manages well when out on the cut.
Pumpkin was designed to be sufficient out on the cut but also has full benefits of shore power living, so is adaptable for wherever you choose to take her.
She does have a bow thruster, technically, but have never fitted the battery as she handles beautifully without,
She’s heated by a Saltfire ST2 multifuel stove and this has always been sufficient, even when it was-15 out!
I currently have a Simploo composting toilet but there’s room if you wanted chemical or pump out.
The shower is large and has rainfall type shower with built in light and ventilation with a gulper pump that automatically comes on when the light goes on.
Pumpkin benefits from a 12v fridge, with freezer compartment, gas stove and dishwasher.
She has a brand new boat safety certificate and been recently blacked (last month).
