After 3 amazing years cruising around London I'm now moving on land to start a new chapter, so sadly parting ways with this incredible home. Lapwing is the absolute perfect boat for someone who wants to liveaboard, and is completely kitted out for CC'ing. Built in 2009, I'm the 2nd owner since new, and she's been very well maintained and serviced every year since built. I'll list the facts below, followed by a bit more in-depth info. Do feel free to let me know any questions, either about the boat itsself or living aborad if you'll be new to it, happy to walk you through things!
But please avoid calling me if possible. I have a lot going on at the moment and work most days, so it's much easier to respond quickly to a text or email, or then arrange a time to call. Thank you

Description:
Lapwing has been my home for the last 3 years as I've cruised around London, and in that time has been turned into the perfect liveaboard. From 3 years on the canals I would say 57' is pretty much the perfect length - big enough for a couple to live comfortably, and small enough to fit into most mooring spots (I've never not got a spot somehwere I wanted to moor in all this time).
As you can see she's incredibly spacious, with an open plan saloon and kitchen, and is one of the most roomy boats I've ever been on. There's then a bathroom with full size shower, and bedroom with full size double (and proper mattress), that actually folds to the wall for ease when cruising (never seen another design like it).
I had her surveyed in Oct 2022 and everything was in excellent condition, with minimal pitting, and I'm happy to share this as needed. She's been blacked regularly, most recently in May this year, so you won't have to worry about that for another 2 years. I deliberately had her blacked at P&S marine as they put her on hardstanding and black the baseplate which most yards wont do (and anyone who says the baseplate doesn't need blacking doesn't know what they're talking about).
Water tank is huge and lasts roughly a month for a couple, closer to 3 for an individual. 2 gas cannisters in the bow hold, with room for about 6 (25kg) coal bags so huge space you can keep stocked up all winter. The stove was removed a few months ago, completely refurbed and painted, then reinstalled with a new flue. It also had a new backboiler put in, which heats radiators in the bathroom and bedroom, giving 'free' heat when you have the stove on. This heats the boat up really evenly and keeps the whole space hot.
A personal favourite for me is the huge battery bank, and solar set up. This usually covers me from about Feb - Nov with no need to run the engine as it's so big, and running about twice a week in the depths of winter. It's really a set up like no other, and runs the fridge 24/7, as well as TV, record player, washing machine etc.
It really is the perfect boat for cruising, and you could move on tomorrow and not have to worry about anything. It's also blank enough that you could redecorate to your own taste quite easily.
Everything you need for boat life will be included - Fire extinguishers, ropes and extra lines, morring pins, lock keys, hammers, axe, all tools and extra bits etc.
I'm currently north London on the Lea, but will be returning to central soon. I'd be willing to discuss delivery outside of London by myself if required.
Please let me know any questions or extra things you'd like to know, or to arrange a viewing! I'm usually free Fri/Sat/Sun any time, and Mon-Thu evenings.
Thanks
Josiah
