BARGAIN 45 FOOTER SAILING BLUE WATER CRUISING YACHT
Joint collaboration of Italian designer (Santarelli) and the owner of the yard (Rinaldi).
From 1992 they designed and built a fast offshore cruiser, with an especially elegant outline and racing characteristics. This sailing boat is both performance-oriented for the sailor who wants to participate in regattas, as well as cruising-oriented for the owner who wants a comfortable 45 footer for fast passage making.

She is very light for a 45 footer approx 6300Kg and her Volvo Penta 3 cylinder inboard Volvo/Penta MD2030 with Heat Exchanger (Not raw water cooled) and Sail drive 120SD 2.48 ratio with folding 2 blade prop pushes her along using very little diesel fuel when needed. The previous owner told me he had recently changed the saildrive seal.
Engine hours unknown (cannot read lcd display on the working tacho), but starts really easy, does not smoke or burn oil, has been regularly serviced, Exhaust elbow checked, filters, water pump. Happy to do a compression check on viewing

Each boat was built to order, this one the IMS version with 3 double berth cabins, a large saloon (can sleep 2) with Kitchen, working fridge and 2 burner gas stove and one head forward with Shower Basin, Sink and Toilet (No holding tank)

She has running cold water and 2 storage tanks

This is a practical layout allowing her to be versatile enough to suit shorthanded or fully crewed sailing with enough comfort and storage either way.
This boat was originally purchased and sailed back from Italy by the previous UK owners in Newport (IOW) UK.

Exact year of build is unknown (was advertised as 2007 when i bought her) and there is little paperwork with her, except bill of sale from the previous owners and UK VAT Paid proof from Brightlingsea harbor office photo with date and headed letter, and previously ashore for 4 years from 1996-2001 @ Newport IOW Marina and Richardsons boat yard there.
Have been abroad for short trips several times in her since and never any issues

She is ready for the 2025 cruising season, If you want to short handed sail her i recommend a good autopilot be fitted cost likely £2-£3500 I can help arrange or fit.
You may also wish to fit a Chinese Hot water Diesel heater or Calorifier (Cost £320-£650) as she has the hot water pipework ready to go , running working cold water but no hot water heater/tank fitted.
