Less than 50 Sadler 290s were built and this is an opportunity to own one that is well-equipped and in good condition.

The 290 was designed by Stephen Jones and has a reputation for performance, comfort and build quality. They have a category 'A' RCD sea-worthiness rating. I sailed 'Foreness' single-handed around Britain in 2024. She is antifouled and ready to go again.

Recently replaced: standing rigging, saildrive seal, 4-person life-raft, Kemp flat-pack sail cover and sprayhood, and fresh water tank.

Spacious saloon with good headroom & up to 6 berths in 3 cabins. Upholstery and wood finish in good condition. Gas cooker with 2 burners, grill, oven. Fridge. Heads with shower & holding tank. Mains heater. 240 volt shore-power, 3x12 volt batteries, all recent. Pressurized hot & cold water. Extra storage cupboards (rather than shelves in saloon) and storage shelving in fore and aft cabins.

Construction

Built by Rampart Yachts Ltd in 2007, designed by Stephen Jones. GRP with encapsulated lead keels which give exceptional performance and sea-worthiness. Copper-coated in the past but now antifouled. Teak decking to cockpit.

Yanmar 3YM20, 20hp diesel with Yanmar saildrive.
Very reliable with no significant issues in my ownership. Professionally serviced each winter, receipts available.

Sails & Spars

Standing rigging replaced in 2022.
Main and genoa in good used condition. No 3, 2011, very good. Cruising chute with snuffler, 2009, little used.

Seago 4-person Sea Cruiser valise life-raft. New 2022.
DSC VHF, life buoy, MOB sling. Manual and electric bilge pump. Various fire extinguishers and fire blanket.
