The Safe Harbour 12, designed by Paul Fisher of Sailway Fisher Designs is a modern interpretation of the “Dark Harbour 12”, a classic American racing sloop designed by B. B. Crowninshields in 1915, who was one of Americas most famous and prolific naval architects and best known for his work on “America Cup” contenders.

This sailing yacht has been professionally constructed to an exceptional standard; the combination of superb craftsmanship and a classic design updated make this vessel unique. Her classic long lines are both beautiful to look at as well as testament to the fact that she is designed to perform. The sea trials when she was launched in the summer of 2010 were a delight. Her owner described how “she powers along in 15 knots winds at 5 knots, has virtually no weather helm, is sensitive yet stable and gives plenty of confidence even when the going gets tough”.The opportunity to own such a superbly designed and constructed sailing vessel comes about only very occasionally; and this is one of those very rare opportunities.

Made from Iroko and Cedar strips and Glass Cloth and with a lead fin keel is helps with her stablity. This is a "home build" but was surveyd upon completion in 2010 and then again in 2020, verifying that she was built to the same exacting standards as the deigner would have had it.

Her rigging is also 2010 as are the Z spars mast and boom. she comes with main sail with 2 slab reefing and a head sail.
