Why are we selling:
After five rewarding years of ownership, we are offering our Scanmar 33 for sale as we are looking to start a family. She has been a remarkable partner, providing both the comfort required for relaxed weekends in the Solent and the sea-kindly performance needed for serious offshore passages.

During our time with her, she has proven herself a capable and sturdy cross-channel cruiser, successfully navigating multiple two-week trips to Normandy and Brittany, as well as extended coastal cruises to the Helford River and the West Country.

Our philosophy has been one of preventative maintenance and 'future-proofing’ which is well documented and evidenced. We have systematically replaced every major 'life-cycle' component—including a brand new Volvo engine, new standing rigging, offshore-spec sails, and composite seacocks. We are passing on a vessel that is truly 'turnkey' and ready for her next chapter of adventure this 2026 sailing season.

Engine/ Saildrive, (New March 2023) - New Volvo Penta D1-30F Engine and 130S Saildrive, new VP 3 blade fixed propeller. Current Engine Hours: 280. 80 Litre Fuel tank, 2-2.5 lph.

Standing Rigging, Mast Lowering, New Chainplates, (December 2021) - All new standing rigging, mast inspection, sheaves replaced, new chainplates to replace original “U” design.

Sails: New Rolly Tasker: mainsail (July, 2021), 135% genoa (June, 2024) - tri-radial cut - both dacron to Challenger Offshore specification (7 Oz).

Seacocks: All seacocks replaced with Tru-Design composite (March, 2025).

Autopilot: New Raymarine P70 Autopilot head, new ST4000 belt and motor (June, 2025).

Heating: Webasto Airtop 40 (4kW), 3 outlets. (September, 2020).

Gas Safe & Hoses: Gas safe report and new hose ends (bottle & cooker), new gas isolator (September, 2021).

Technical Specification
1. Machinery & Manoeuvring
-Engine: Volvo Penta D1-30F (30hp) - New March 2023. (£12k + fitting costs)
- Drive: 130S Saildrive - New March 2023 with new Internal/External seals. Seajet PellerClean silicone Antifoul.
- Propeller 3 blade fixed, Volvo Penta. New 2023 - with engine/ saildrive install.
- 80 Litre, Stainless steel fuel tank. Larger standard size (default on ‘33 was 40L).
- Bow Thruster: Vetus 25 kg/f (Professional installation- date unknown).
- Steering: Original Whitlock Pedestal with Direct Linkage (no cables). Rudder dropped, stern tube removed, system stripped, inspected, and re-greased (March, 2025).
- Through-Hulls: All seacocks replaced with TruDesign Composite (March, 2025).
- Monitoring: NASA Marine exhaust temperature monitor (December, 2020).

2. Sails & Rigging
- Spars: Isomat Mast & Boom (Keel stepped). Mast dropped and inspected December 2021, new mast sheaves). New steaming/ deck light fitted.
- Furler: Harken Mark 4 headsail furler.
- Mainsail: Rolly Tasker, Dacron (Challenger Offshore 7.33oz). New July 2021
- 135% Genoa: Rolly Tasker, Dacron (7.33oz construction). 9 Oz Sunbrella UV strip New June 2024
- Symmetrical spinnaker, date unknown with snuffer. Good condition - no holes. Spinnaker pole.
- Standing Rigging: 1x19 Stainless Steel replaced December 2021. New chainplates replacing previous “U” design. Allspars Solent (Swanwick).
- Running Rigging Replaced as required. New dyneema main & spinnaker halyard from previous owner. New Dyneema genoa halyard fitted (June 2024).
- Winches: 2x Lewmar 40 self tailing primary winches. 2x Lewmar 10 coachroof.

3. Navigation & Electronics
- Autopilot: Raymarine ST4000 Wheel Pilot. New P70 head, motor, and belt (2025).
- Active AIS: EM-Trak 954 Class B+ with WiFi (output to phone/ tablet). (June, 2021)
- VHF: Standard Horizon GX2200E with inbuilt passive AIS and cockpit 2nd station.
- Instruments: NASA Marine Wireless Wind, Speed/Log and Depth.

- Construction: GRP, Solid core below waterline c. 14mm thick. No signs of osmosis. No coppercoat - Antifouled - Seajet 033 Self-polishing.
- Deck: Divinycell foam core deck, gelcoat, Kiwigrip non-slip.
- Hatches: Lewmar hatches
- South Atlantic self-steering system (fitted by previous owner, currently removed)
