For sailing enthusiasts the Seal 22 perfectly combines fun and flexible sailing with practical living space. It’s vertical drop keel is ideal for sea, creek or river sailing. This old girl is sold for a song as she is an ideal winter project that will result in a beautiful practical yacht. She needs work on the mast, a new set of upholstery and an outboard installing but there is definitely life in her yet. Moored on the beautiful Shell Island estuary south of Harlech in North Wales she can be easily accessed for viewing via a direct trainline to Birmingham and beyond.

The accommodation consists of a forward cabin with storage space. A "Porta-potti" chemical toilet is placed centrally. The main saloon has a settee berth to port and starboard which run into quarter berths. The keel box doubles as a folding table. At the forward starboard end of the main saloon is a small galley area with a 2 burner and grill Aquamarine Neptune 4500 gas stove on gimbles. Sadly the upholstery cushions were not fit for purpose but their covers have been retained as templates for replacements. There is a bilge pump attached to the keel box.
The hull is constructed of conventional glass fibre with white a gell coat. The upper hull is painted white while lower hull and lifting fin keel are painted red with anti-fouling. There is a 2.5" blue boot top line. The deck, coachroof and cockpit are fibre glass with a duck egg blue gel coat. A 1,75" wooden rubbing strake runs round the yacht at the deck edge.
Mainsail, jib and genoa all in fair condition. Boom also in fair condition. The mast sheered off at its base in a storm last summer and needs either repairing or replacing.
