“Bijou V” is a 23 ft Seamaster, built in 1972. She has large cabin windows for light and ventilation. A brand new Cockpit canopy was fitted in November 2019 (see photos). She is situated at Chertsey on the River Thames.
Powered by a 40HP Perkins 4.108 diesel engine with an Enfield 130 outdrive. The engine and outdrive were serviced in 2019 including a complete oil change in both. There are 2 spare propellors. A new alternator and leisure battery were fitted in 2019, together with new anodes on the outdrive. The boat was antifouled in the Spring of 2019, has a Boat Safety Certificate until 2022 and a Cruising Licence for 2020.
She sleeps 4 people in the main cabin which can be divided into 2 compartments for privacy; 2 in the bow and the table collapses to make a double. It was carpeted in 2019 and contains a wardrobe.
The Galley has a new Dometic Moonlight 3 burner hob, grill and oven and a new Dometic Coolmatic 6-60013 electric fridge, both fitted in 2018. A new domestic water supply pump was fitted in 2019. The toilet compartment contains a brand new PortaPotti 165 Qube, never used, and a handbasin.
In the cockpit a new helmsman’s seat was fitted in 2019 and a matching spare seat has yet to be fitted. The bench seat in the cockpit seats four. There is a Kelvin Hughes HUSUN 55 VHF ship to shore radio, a Nasa Stingray depth sounder and a new Garmin Silva 70 ship’s compass. Also a battery condition meter, a 12v socket and USB socket.

This is a great inexpensive starter boat for a small family and is all set to go for the 2020 Cruising Season without any additional expense. The boat is moored at Chertsey on the River Thames. The mooring is not transferable but a new mooring agreement could be made with the marina.
