Sigma 41 “NIGHTLIFE” (1983) – Upgraded Performance Cruiser with Bluewater Capability
NIGHTLIFE, a 1983 Sigma 41, offers a rare blend of offshore performance, comfortable liveaboard features, and extensive upgrades. Designed by David Thomas, this model has earned its reputation both on the race circuit and as a capable cruiser, making it an excellent choice for bluewater sailors or adventure-minded cruisers.
Currently lying near Athens, she benefits from a 2023 structural survey, Beta 50 engine (2012, 1,300 hours), and a Darglow FeatherStream prop, along with a Side-Power bow thruster for confident handling in tight marinas.
Her Selden mast, new backstay (2022), removable inner forestay, and suite of North Sails (including a roller genoa and slab-reefed mainsail) make her a versatile and reliable sailer. Additional features include Rutland wind generator, flexible solar panels, and upgraded charging/inverter systems.
Inside, she’s bright and practical with ample storage and accommodation: forward cabin with custom mattress, aft double cabin, two pilot berths, and a convertible saloon. The galley features a new Dometic gas cooker (2022) and Totalfreeze 45L fridge, with diesel heating, LED lighting, and a refurbished heads (2016) completing the liveaboard comforts.
