Beautiful traditional 50ft narrowboat for sale. Exceptionally well maintained, Harlequin would be a perfect liveaboard for 1 or 2 people. A survey carried out in 2017 reported the hull is structurally sound in 10/6/4 steel. Harlequin was last blacked in May 2017 and will be out of the water for a week from 15th February 2020 for blacking. Potential buyers welcome to arrange for a survey to be carried out during this time.
Harlequin's cosy and traditional internal design with some modern touches makes Harlequin full of charachter. The entire exterior was repainted in a vibrant turquoise and silver in April 2019.
From the deck, the main doors complete with steel sliding hatch (which were custom built in August 2018) open down into the bedroom. The 4ft bed contains storage drawers underneath and there is additional cupboard storage above the bed. There is also a wardrobe with shelves underneath and a storage area close to the door for shoes or outdoor items.
The new curtains which were custom made in August 2019 bring colour to the whole boat and are a beautiful feature of the galley area. The galley features a Dometic 3-way fridge, sink and drainer, gas 3-hob, oven, and plenty of cupboards. There is also a 2-person dinette which is also a handy place to work.
The galley continues into the saloon, featuring a comfy sofa bed with built-in storage, and a large fold out table which can turn the saloon into a dining area (comfortably seats 4 people). The multi-fuel stove (with tile-surround) has been well-maintained and keeps the whole boat warm.
The bow (front) doors open out to an area which is just big enough for two chairs and is a lovely place to sit in the summer, and there is a huge storage area below. There is also a removable cratch cover for this area.
The enclosed bathroom is decorated in traditional wood and features a pump out toilet, sink/basin, mirror, lots of cupboard space and a mixer shower. The shower and bathroom sink were replaced in May 2019 and a new whale gulper waste water pump fitted.
