1984 Westerly Corsair (BowThruster, In-Mast Furling, £10,000 spent this year including New Rigging)

Overview

1984 example which was the Sailing Today featured yacht for the Westerly Corsair used Test in August 2011 (She’s on the front cover!). She comes with a number of upgrades including Bowthruster, In-mast furling, New Rigging, AIS Transponder, Cutter Rig and has had an extensive refit at the beginning of the year. She comes with an extensive level of equipment which includes Raymarine 12 inch Plotter in Cockpit, Full Raymarine Instrument Suite, AIS Transponder, Autopilot, Beta 1505 37.5HP Engine with Brunton Autoprop and additional 12v Fridge. She also has a new Electric Toilet in main heads, new Jabsco Toilet in Aft Heads, Battery Monitor, TV Aerial and lots more.

She is ready to go after being refitted this year including the following spent to date:
• New Rigging (Cost: £4,718)
• Sails and Cockpit Cover laundered and serviced (Cost: £1143.60)
• New Radar Reflector and Mast Electrics including new LED Steaming/Deck Light, Aqua Signal LED Tricolor Light, VHF Aerial with Windex and replacement of wiring (Cost: approx.£700)
• New AIS Transponder with own AIS Aerial (Cost: approx..£500)
• Full Beta Engine Service including new Water Pump and Vetus Water Strainer (Cost: approx £600)
• 4 x New Trudesign Seacocks for Toilet Waste and Sink Waste in both Heads and servicing of Blakes seacocks (Cost: £1,113.25)
• New Electric Toilet in Mains Head and Jabsco Large Toilet in Aft Heads including replacement of all waste hoses (Cost: circa £500)
• New Pilot Gas Alarm, Solenoid Cutoff, regulator and piping in Locker.(Cost: circa £300)
• Replacement of Tides Marine SeriesOne Shaft Seal (Cost: £300)
• Replacement of all anodes including Folding Prop and Bowthruster Anode.
Due to a change in plans she is now ready for her next chapter as a beautiful, capable and deeply characterful classic cruising yacht.
