Built to the hull design by Charles and Peter Nicholson, FORERUNNER II was the last of the series of composite Nicholson 36’s constructed in the period 1960 to 68.
The GRP hull moulding was by Halmatic,with final fit out by John Perry of Emsworth.
FORERUNNER was commissioned for the One Ton Cup of 1968, and built with a Transom stern as the counter had a rating disadvantage, resulting in a reduced overall length at 10m compared to the other 16 or so composite Nicholson 36’s.
