70ft Converted Historic Narrowboat Hydrus is a 70ft Converted Historic Narrowboat, built for the Grand Union Canal Carrying company in 1935 by Harland and Wolff. Hydrus was originally built as an unpowered butty. In 2020 it was converted to a Motorboat by David Kemp, with the addition of a replica fully rivetted motors stern, engine room and cabin. 57'9" Historic Narrowboat - BantockBallinger is a 57’9” Historic Traditional Narrowboat, originally built in 1895 by Bantock Bros. Ballinger was built as a joey boat for use on the BCN. In its current form it was converted by Max Sinclair in the 1960’s. The fitout was undertaken by Ken Brenchley, who at the time was working at Brinklow Boat Services and the traditional decoration is by Phil Speight.
