Elbar is Bianca 27 that was built in Denmark in 1965 and is the first of over 600 of her type built. She was exhibited at the 1966 London Boat Show and bought by the first owner, who named her using his initials. She is registered in London as number 308088 on the British Ships Registry. Elbar has been in the current ownership for the past 40 years. The engine has been serviced every December before being winterised and laid up for about 6 months. Remarks : The Bianca 27 class was designed by naval architect Svend Christensen in Denmark in the mid-1960s and was the first class of Danish GRP yacht built by the yard in Langeland, Denmark. A total of over 600 boats were built, and the design is now considered a ‘Classic.’ The yacht is long-keeled with a masthead sloop rig and furling headsail.
