This narrowboat was last blacked in September 2022, during which time the stern gland and anodes where replaced and some steelwork was carried out. The boat has been used as a liveaboard on a permanent mooring in Central London.
While we do not hold any recent surveys, this vessel has been sold through us several times, historical records indicate that the hull was over plated in 1999. The last survey we have on file dates back to 2009.

Constance is a 37ft narrowboat, professionally stretched by Dave Thomas at Braunston in 1999.
The superstructure was repainted in 2020, while the hull was last blacked in 2021. A full survey was carried out in 2022, confirming the hull was in excellent condition for her age, with no recommendations made at the time.

History
All steel mid-century narrowbeam motorised butty with the hull built by Colecraft in approximately 1972. The boat was originally built with a wooden superstructure and internally fitted by Rugby Boatbuilders as a family home working with the family-run restaurant motor boat. Subsequently a steel-clad superstructure was fitted and an engine fitted retaining the original butty stern. The superstructure, which has been strengthened, is constructed to the outside edges of the side decks on two levels with a lower roof at the aft end.
