HISTORY & DESCRIPTION: The Yachting World 5-tonner was the product of a competition staged by the magazine for architects to devise a family cruising yacht. Plans were made available widely and yachts were built around the British Isles and abroad. The plans offered three rigs, gaff cutter, bermudian cutter and sloop.
