THE YACHT IS CURRENTLY ASHORE UNTIL 28TH MARCH - A GOOD TIME FOR AN INSPECTION

The Seal 28 is quite a substantial cruising yacht and packs a lot of accommodation into a 28 foot hull, including an aft cabin. The lifting keel with its min draft of 30" has been really useful, max draft is 4ft 9".

I have owned the boat for over 10 years and only giving up due to a worsening shoulder injury, which means I am unable to sail. During this time I have steadily replaced many items.

The last survey report said that she is considered to be in good order with evidence of good maintenance. There is evidence of minor stress cracking but remedial work is not considered necessary other than for cosmetic reasons.

Construction

Construction is GRP. Almost everything top side has been renewed (except the mast). The lifting keel assembly was inspected and serviced in 2020. The cockpit cover / tent was useful for "wind- free" lunch or to give more living space (especially for kids) on the mooring.
