A roomy, seaworthy cruising yacht, with all systems in good working order. Currently wintering on the Canal Du Midi
Available to view and purchase 'as seen' between now and Mid December in Castelnaudary, just south of Toulouse. (You could be aboard by Christmas!)
In the spring, or when you are ready to take her back to the Mediterranean, I could join you for a couple of days to help with putting the masts and sails back on board. (no extra charge) Alternatively, I could take her back to the Med in the spring and meet you in Port st Louis du Rhone.
Either way due to our personal reasons we prefer to agree the sale before Christmas.
Overview / reason for sale
My wife and I purchased Fandancer in Greece with a view to long term live aboard cruising. Unfortunately, due to my wife’s health we are unable to continue with these plans, so you have an opportunity to purchase a ready to go, live aboard cruising yacht for a great price!
We will be very sad to see her go, having fallen for her charms the instant we set eyes on her. She is greatly admired wherever she goes and deservers some new adventures, whether pottering around the Ionian or cruising further afield.
Designed by the renowned Sparkman and Stephens she is not only pretty but sails well and is very seaworthy. Built in Canada she has already crossed the Atlantic and sister ships have travelled far and wide.
In 2011 a major refit was carried out in the UK, prior to her new life as a Mediterranean cruising yacht. She has since been maintained annually so her equipment and systems are all in great order.
After eight summers cruising in the Ionian, Greece with the previous owners, we also enjoyed this area for a year, then sailed her more or less non-stop to Rome, Italy and then onto the mouth of the Rhone, where we removed her masts and sails for winter service and storage and took her up the Canal du Midi to Castlenaudary where she is currently wintering.
So it is time for us to pass her on, to a new owner where she can provide trouble-free service and pleasure whilst being kept in the manner to which she is accustomed!
She represents exceptional value for anyone who wants to cruise in a comfortable, older type of craft, knowing that the all-important basics are in sound and reliable order.
