Built by Smelne yachts in 2005 with steel hull and deck. Semi displacement underwater profile with twin substantial skews/bilge keels giving Midnight Blue the ability to remain upright ashore, completely protects the Propellors and gives her incredible sea keeping abilities, she is as happy in the European rivers and canals as she is crossing the channel and Meditteranean.
The twin, six cylinder naturally aspirated deisel engines are in superb condition and start at the first touch of the switch. They have run about 12/1300 hours and have recently been fully serviced by a dedicated marine engineer. They drive 5 bladed Propellors through steel shafts with non drip deep sea seals, easily accessed remote greasers. The Fisher Panda generator also has been recently serviced and is whisper quiet, producing reliable mains power whilst at anchor, hours run are about 600 .
